Resumen:
Jorge Calero Martínez is University Professor of Applied Economics at the UAB of Barcelona and researcher at the Institute for Economics in Barcelona. He holds a doctor degree in Economics from the UAB and a master degree in Sociology of Education from London University, Institute of Education. His doctor thesis was awarded by the Bank of Spain. Since 2005 he is the Coordinator of the GIPE. He worked as President of the Economics of Education Association (2002-2004) and as Consultant (expert group) in the Social Council of Catalonia (2005-2010). From 2010 – 2011 he was the President of the Higher Council for Evaluation of Education.
