Professor Sally Tomlinson is an Emeritus Professor at Goldsmiths College University of London and a Senior Research Fellow in the Department of Education.
She was awarded a Leverhulme Emeritus Fellowship grant in 2009 to research lower attainers and has published a book from this research 2013 ” Ignorant Yobs? Low attainers in a global knowledge economy” Routledge. S
She is currently preparing a book for the World Library of Educationalist Series ” The Politics of Race, Class and Special Education” Routledge 2014”, which is a selection from her work over the past thirty years.
She is a Trustee (and former Chair) of the Africa Education Trust, which works in areas of conflict in Africa, offering literacy, numeracy and vocational courses to groups, especially women and the disabled, who have had no formal education.
