6th International Symposium on Remedial and Special Education in Munich

The international symposium on remedial and special education brings together scientists and experts working in the field of intercultural and international comparative remedial and special education. The 6th symposium is to be held from 3-5 October 2013 at the Ludwig-Maximilians-Universität of Munich (LMU).
The main topic of interest is "The UN Convention on the Rights of Persons with Disabilities – world-wide Implementation and Effects". Participants from 20 different countries all over the world are expected to attend the symposium.
The 6th symposium will embrace the resolution of the UN Convention on the rights of persons with disabilities, focusing on the effects on:
- - conception of humanity
- - life and society
- - education and occupation
- - media and communication
- - medical rehabilitation
- - governmental framework conditions
- - research methods
- - comparative studies
- - country-specific interpretations
- - historical perspectives

Thursday, 3.10.2013: presentations from 13.00-18.00
Friday, 4.10.2013: workshops from 8.30-18.00
Saturday, 5.10.2013: presentations from 8.30-13.00
Furthermore a poster exhibition under the dircetion of Prof. Markowetz is offered.
