AHEAD Conference 2014 - Call for Papers

The AHEAD Conference 2014 call for papers is open. The conference is organised by AHEAD, the Association for Higher Education Access and Disability, under the theme “Into the Real World: What does the best higher education experience for students with disabilities look like?”. The Conference will take place in Dublin Castle, Ireland, on March 18th 2014.
For many students with disabilities, the ‘real world’ starts in college. Inclusion in this environment comes in many forms. It’s more than what happens in the lecture hall, it’s about all aspects of higher education.
If you feel you have something to say about ‘including students with disabilities in the whole college experience’, please submit a proposal for a paper or poster on…
- > Teaching and Learning/Assessment.
- > Openness to different disabilities, (dyslexia, mental health, autism, others).
- > Work placement/ Professional internships /Graduate Recruitment.
- > Assistive Technologies/ Solutions.
- > Student Union / Clubs and Societies.
- > International education/ Erasmus/ Study abroad.
The conversation starts today
National and International papers are welcome on research and innovative practices. The student voice will also be represented.
How to Submit
To submit a proposal, complete the submission form and return it to by Dec 9th 2013. All selected presenters attend free of charge.

AHEAD, Association for Higher Education Access and Disability is an independent non-profit organisation working to promote full access to and participation in further and higher education for students with disabilities and to enhance their employment prospects on graduation.
