The fifth call for projects by FIRAH (International Foundation of Applied Disability Research) is launched. FIRAH is the first foundation entirely dedicated to applied disability research. Founded in 2009 and state-approved, it finances research involving field workers, including associations, and researchers via calls for projects.

This call for projects aims to select and fund applied research projects on disability for individualized quality support, an inclusive environment and technical solutions contributing to autonomy and communication. It requests ways of participatory research demonstrating a mesh between researchers, people with disabilities, their families and their organizations, professionals ... The dissemination and valorization of the produced knowledge will be open and will serve the greatest number.

• - Announcement to project leaders regarding pre-selected letters of intent: June, 27^th  2014
• - Closing date for completed application files: September, 26^th 2014
• - Announcement to project leaders regarding the selected completed applications: December, 15^th 2014

Thanks to its action, FIRAH also participates in the international dissemination of knowledge and works in order to gather disabled people, their families, associations, professionals and researchers through its Resource Centre.
