The UN Convention establishes principles and standards to guarantee the access of people with disabilities in all relevant spheres of life: housing, justice, leisure, culture, health, education, etc. This was the first document signed by the European Union and is binding to all Member States. However, Spain was a pioneer in endorsing the Convention.
