INICO was set up in 1996 to carry out research and provide specialist training and advisory services to promote, facilitate and improve living conditions amongst socially disadvantaged people in different contexts and throughout their lives: people with physical, mental and sensory disabilities, as well as those with chronic illnesses, mental diseases, minorities and excluded people. The Institute provides publications and lifelong training, as well as a range of services to support people with disabilities.
