Otra información
In the field of research, the Unit focuses on:
► Research on inclusive education based on a developmental and eco-systemic model (preschool age, school age, transition to adulthood, continuous training, ageing): follow up of disabled children involved in regular education, evaluation of processes on inclusive education.
► Learning in intellectual disabled children in cerebral palsied children and in multiple and severe disabled persons: development of assessment techniques including use of software, developmental approaches in various genetic syndromes, learning strategies in pre-school and in school settings or in families.
► Parents-professionals partnership: co-construction of knowledge.
Regarding the clinical consultation, the Unit achieves specific assessments and make links between assessments and interventions. We support parents, child and teachers involved in inclusive education at pre-primary, primary or secundary level. We are involved in the clincal consultation in psychology and speech therapy organized by the Faculty.
We work closely with the Unit of School Psychology (Prof. S. Frenkel), focusing on specific learning disabilities and at-risk children. The aim is of course to prevent orientation of SLD children to a segregative school system.
